2011 Pohang World Baduk Festival The 6th Korea Prime Minister Cup International Amateur Baduk Championship
The 6th Korea Prime Minister Cup International Amateur Baduk Championship starts from Oct. 20 in Pohang city. About 90 people from 72 countries, representatives of each country and guest officials of AGF, are invited to compete and see which country has the best amateur player. Besides the championship, there will be various events such as team tournament, simultaneous games by pros, and photograph exhibition of Korean Baduk history. It is also a venue for the AGF general meeting.
The Korea Prime Minister Cup has a huge sponsor, the Korean government. For years, the Korean government aims to promote Baduk over the world so that it has been supporting Baduk culture in various ways. This festival is one of the efforts we can see. They support the accommodation, meals and travel expenses of the representative players and official guests.
The championship is about a month away, and WBaduk team will be there broadcasting the biggest international amateur championship. Let's enjoy the festival together here with us!
