The winner of the tournament is challenging to the Park JungHwan the current Kooksu title holder. Lee Sedol and Cho Hanseong 9P who become the pro at the same year got into the round 4 and Lee Jihun and Han Sanghun followed in the round 4.

Lee Sedol 9P won against Lee Donghun 5P for the first time amont otehr 3 games and Cho Hansoeng 9P also beats against Kim Jisuk 9P followed Lee 9P. Both Han SangHun and Lee Jihun won each against Lee Changho 9P and An Joyoung 9P.
