The KPMC Championship is over, The Korean Representative Choi-Wonjin: Second Place (Sports Seoul)

The world Baduk festival, the 14th KPMC is now over. In this competition, 16 countries from Asia, 32 countries from Europe, 12 countries from America, and 1 country from Oceania participated and enjoyed the tournament. Regarding the competition’s rules, it was held as Swiss League 6 rounds, time limit 40minutes 30secs 3 times. The champion was the Chinese player ‘Huh-Sin’, and the Korean Representative Choi-Wonjin get the second place. In the interview, Huh-sin said “I am happy to achieve my goal with my best effort, I think I was lucky at the end”. Due to this, China succeeded to win the championship 5 years in a row. The KPMC has been held 14 years in a row from the first one, and it’s getting full support from the government hoping to propagate Baduk internationally. Its scale is the biggest out of all world Baduk championships. |
